FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a TerraCycle CSR cleanup event?
A guided corporate volunteering day where your team removes ocean-bound plastic from a canal or beach in Thailand — combining real team building with a measurable sustainability activity.
Where do the cleanups take place?
Canal cleanups run at the Lat Phrao canal in Bangkok (our MRC facility, 289 Lat Phrao-Wanghin Road). We also run full-day beach cleanups in Pattaya. Choose your preference in the booking form.
How many people can join a corporate event?
We host groups of all sizes, and our packages are designed for teams of around 30+. Share your headcount and we'll scale the event accordingly.
Is this a real ocean cleanup?
Yes. We intercept plastic upstream in canals before it reaches the sea. Since 2020 we've removed over 1.6 million kg of ocean waste, and 100% of what we collect is recycled.
What's provided on the day?
Boats, safety gear (gloves, boots, goggles, life jackets), first aid, insurance, community lunch, water stations, a waste-sorting workshop, a professional photographer, and a post-event report.
What should our team wear and bring?
Casual outdoor clothing, socks for the rubber boots we provide, sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle. Please avoid dress shoes, business attire and valuables.
Do we get data for our CSR / sustainability report?
Yes — we weigh what your team collects and send a post-event impact report with photos and figures for internal and public reporting.
What happens after we submit the form?
Your selected date is tentative until confirmed. Our team reviews your request and sends a cost estimation and confirmation within one week.
Does the event run in the rain?
Yes — events run rain or shine. Dates can be changed up to 72 hours before the event; please see our booking terms for full details.
Who runs the events?
The TerraCycle Thai Foundation, a locally registered non-profit established in Bangkok in 2019. Every event is led by our own trained team.
