The TerraCycle Global Foundation was established in 2018 by TerraCycle, Inc., the world leader in the collection and recycling of traditionally non-recyclable materials, with generous funding from the PepsiCo Foundation, to address the issues of plastic pollution in developing regions.
The TerraCycle Global Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States established in 2018 by TerraCycle, the world leader in the collection and recycling of traditionally non-recyclable materials and the founder of Loop, a sustainable shopping platform moving the world away from single-use packaging.
We establish and support local affiliate non-profit organizations in countries plagued with heavily polluted riverways that are leaking high volumes of plastic into our oceans.
In 2019, we set up the TerraCycle Thai Foundation, a Thai-registered non-profit organization that is implementing river waste prevention, collection and recycling solutions focused on heavily-polluted canals in Bangkok. To support this work, the TerraCycle Thai Foundation partners closely with the local government and employs waste workers from the local community.
From the waste we collect from our river cleanup operations, we make new and innovative products using closed-loop manufacturing processes.
